FFA Update

New Star!
When Hlogi Manong arrived at Fourways High School last year, I noticed with what ease he was able to perform at the cross country events, despite racing on rugby fitness.  He finished in the top five positions at nearly every meeting, and I looked forward to the athletics season with relish!  I was not to be disappointed, and he ended up winning the 800m at both inter-high and prestige meetings.  At the same meetings he also achieved silver in the 1500m event, which he "lost" mostly due to poor racing tactics and inexperience.  This year he has upped his game, and has been attacking training sessions more than hardly any athlete I have ever coached. This past week, he improved a school record that was set back in 1994!  The incredible time of 2m08sec for 800m, for a fourteen year old boy, was untouched for 16years!  Not only has Hlogi broken it twice, but has lowered the mark to 2min04sec!  Not many young guys will be able to compete with that! He has been unbeaten this season, and with just over a week to go, we are waiting with baited breath to see what the young running sensation can deliver on a tartan track!

Running products day at track!

We are welcoming spring this year by introducing a number of products at the first Tuesday in September.  On 7 September we have invited Cebe sports glasses and Suunto heart rate monitors to display their current ranges.  If you are in the market for any of these with the running season ahead, make sure that you join us on the day!
The Suunto tc1 is on special right now in a His & Hers option.  For R1900 you will receive the men and women's monitors, complete with heart rate functionality, 30 memories, calorie counter, and more.  Contact us for availability.

100 Days 'till Summer
Our health and fitness challenge starts today, combining the FFA training programs with The Natural Way nutritional principles.  Best wishes to all who have signed up, bring on Summer!
